Violante

Belgian Strong Ale 75 cl

7,90

The aroma is characterized by hints of yeast, with notes of exotic fruit and spices, coriander, and orange zest, and a sweet, caramel-like aftertaste.

The flavor is smooth and well-balanced, with a hint of sweetness and moderate acidity. The alcohol content is quite high, but it comes across in the mouth as a warm sensation and helps create a long finish. The carbonation is moderate, with medium body.

Why "violante"?

If Bianca Lancia was the woman whom Frederick II loved most among his many, their daughter Violante was certainly the one most devoted to her father, inheriting the kindness and caring nature that were her mother’s hallmarks. In the letters she wrote from her residence in Caserta, her concern is evident as she urged her father to abandon the dangers of war and take better care of his health. Her marriage also proved to be a blessing for the Emperor: it was in fact Violante’s husband who promptly warned Frederick of a plot against him by the Sicilian nobles, thereby saving his life.
