Recycling, reuse, respect. These are the values underpinning the new project led byEcosuntek S.p.A. and Birra Flea, leading companies in raising awareness of eco-sustainable issues. The presentation took place on Tuesday, September 15, at 11:30 a.m. in the council chamber of the Municipality of Gualdo Tadino. Speakers included Matteo Minelli, CEO of Ecosuntek S.p.A. and founder of Birra Flea; the Mayor of Gualdo Tadino, Massimiliano Presciutti; and school principal Fabrizio Bisciaio, all in the presence of Sister Maria Pamela.
The schools that began the new school year with a focus on environmental stewardship include the “Domenico Tittarelli” public elementary school in Cartiere, the “Gianni Rodari” elementary school in Cerqueto, the “Otello Sordi” elementary school in San Rocco, San Pellegrino, the “Franco Storelli” public middle school, and the Bambin Gesù private elementary school. The students, administrative staff, and teachers received 330-ml water bottles as gifts, made entirely of aluminum, an infinitely reusable material. Additionally, a dispenser for filtered and chilled water has been installed in every school building.
“We have installed nine water dispensers and donated over 1,100 water bottles. We are focusing specifically on young people to create a cleaner world and also to revitalize the economy. We need young people who are trained in every field,” emphasized Matteo Minelli, CEO of Ecosuntek S.p.A. “Our hope is that through schoolchildren, the importance of these issues will reach families so that we can build a better world. A major push on these issues must come from the younger generations,” declared the mayor of Gualdo Tadino. “We like the spirit of this project and hope it continues to grow,” added director Fabrizio Bisciaio. “We are delighted to be participating as well. We want to teach children to respect the environment, reuse objects, and recycle. This virtuous project will shape the leaders of tomorrow,” concluded Sister Maria Pamela of the Bambin Gesù Institute.
Following the summer camp held this past summer, Ecosuntek S.p.A. and Birra Flea are once again putting children front and center, giving them the opportunity to learn the three Rs: recycle, reuse, and respect. There’s no better way to understand that just as we take care of our own health, we must also care for the well-being of the Earth, because it is home to us all.
