Why choose when you can have both!

Beer enthusiasts have always debated the age-old question that plagues beer drinkers: can or bottle? Beer “purists” have always been associated with bottled beer, while those who prefer a more “casual” style will surely gravitate toward cans.

We certainly won’t be the ones to tell you which one is better than the other, simply because there is NO single answer!

It all comes down to your personal taste and depends on a variety of factors… Today we’ll try to examine those factors and debunk a few myths. Regardless of the container, beer is beer and remains irresistible in any form, right?

Here are some important factors to consider:

Aesthetics

From an aesthetic standpoint, the bottle undeniably comes across as a high-end product. The variety of shapes and sizes allows us to customize the bottle and adapt it to different settings, from upscale restaurants to small pubs. Just consider that our bottle features the Flea logo in relief, along with a colorful label and gold foil stamping: small details that certainly make a difference in how the product is perceived.

Yield

From a thermal standpoint, glass bottles tend to maintain the beer’s temperature better; once chilled, the beer will warm up much more slowly. The opposite is also true: cans will chill much faster, but at the same time, they will warm up sooner when exposed to high temperatures!

Practicality

Bottles are certainly nice, but unfortunately they’re less practical than cans. Cans are lighter, easier to carry, and less likely to break. Not to mention how easy they are to open: you won’t need to bring a bottle opener with you!

Storage

This point has been the subject of considerable debate, but we can say with near certainty that cans are impervious to light, unlike bottles, which—even if made of dark glass—are at risk of degrading if exposed to sunlight for long periods.

Storage

Because of its cylindrical shape, canned beer is inevitably easier to stack than bottles. Bottles are certainly much more elegant and visually appealing, but they are bulkier and harder to store.

Affordability

Aluminum is usually less expensive than glass, and this can sometimes affect the final cost of the beer.

It is important to note that aluminum does not affect the taste of beer in any way; despite its lower cost, people tend to think it might taste different, when in fact the beer’s sensory properties remain unchanged!

In short, there’s no such thing as the perfect container—beer is beer, regardless of its packaging.
What really matters are your personal needs and preferences!
