Christmas is the time of year dedicated to family, friends, and relaxation. But it’s also a time for enjoying fantastic food and drinks. If you’ve already bought all the ingredients and beers you need for the lunches and dinners to celebrate Christmas 2021, here are some perfect pairings for you.

Whether it’s savory profiteroles, canapés with walnut sauce, or Russian salad, there’s no doubt that a delicious appetizer will be served before the main course of lunch or dinner. Serve it with our Blonde Ale Costanza: its fresh, slightly fruity flavor and its dense, creamy, and persistent head will welcome all your guests.

When people in much of Italy think of Christmas, one specific dish immediately comes to mind: cappelletti in broth. It’s so delicious that any description seems superfluous. Suffice it to say that it’s a classic that’s a must-have on the Christmas table. To make your Christmas cappelletti even more epic and unforgettable, serve them alongside our Blanche: Bianca Lancia. Slightly tart, very fruity, and only slightly bitter but with a fresh taste, it will enhance the flavors of this dish.

In some parts of Italy, it’s traditional to eat salmon at Christmas. There’s no doubt that there are many ways to enjoy it: as tartare, in rolls, or in a potato crust. The pairing we recommend is a bit unusual, but we assure you it’s worth a try: our smoked beer Anais. It is a distinctive pure-malt amber beer produced, like all our beers, with 100% barley malt. It has a bold aromatic profile with smoky notes, an intense flavor, a dry finish, and a slight bitterness, with a caramel and hazelnut aftertaste derived from the use of special malts. Once you’ve tried it, you’ll never forget it.

If we asked 100 people what the typical Christmas desserts are, we’re sure that at least 99 of them would answer: pandoro and panettone. This is certainly no coincidence: the dessert that was originally typical only of Milan is now considered by all Italians, from Trento to Comiso, a true classic of late December. The best way to enjoy them is to eat them alongside a nice glass of our Bastola Imperial Red Ale. Its slightly bitter and dry flavor pairs perfectly with these types of desserts, especially those made with chocolate. It also pairs excellently with Flea Noël Amber Ale: the sweet orange peel added during brewing, along with its pleasantly spicy notes and aromas, will be the icing on the cake of your Christmas.

We’ll wrap up this brief guide to pairing Christmas dishes with Flea Beer by reminding you that those with gluten intolerance don’t have to go without beer this Christmas. Our Isabella has a gluten content of less than 20 ppm and is specifically formulated for people with gluten intolerance. Made with barley and wheat malt, like all our beers, it is unfiltered and unpasteurized, but top-fermented and refermented in the bottle.

All that’s left is to wish you bon appétit, in the hope that everyone will have a happy and peaceful Christmas!
